It has taken some time here in Australia, but equality has come to our shores, and it’s for the better. It doesn’t stop all of the men out there, however, from taking on the role of the main breadwinner and carrying a lot of responsibility on their shoulders. Our fathers and grandfathers have always told us that we need to roll with the punches and we need to harden up a little. We are encouraged not to experience our sensitive sides, and it’s important that we project the right impression of strength, every single time.

This can take its toll on modern men, and at some point, something has to give. All of that responsibility and all of the efforts that we put into our jobs every single day are really affecting our health, both physically and mentally. It’s time to start taking better care of yourself, because nobody else can do this for you. It doesn’t take a great deal of time, and 20 to 30 minutes each day is enough.
  • Set yourself some boundaries – Many Australian men say that the work/life balance is impossible to achieve, but they would be wrong. It’s all about you setting yourself boundaries when it comes to things like your job. If you are contracted to work until 5 PM, then that’s when you quit. If Saturday and Sunday are your days off, then you don’t come into the office during that time.

Set new boundaries and follow these three pieces of advice, and there’s no reason to believe that you can’t reduce your overall stress and anxiety levels, which are increasing every day.
